Kyree F's Fundraising Page
Kyree Ford is a lovable and sweet 7-year-old boy who faces significant challenges due to severe autism. His mother abandoned him when he was just one month old, and we (his grandparents) stepped in to take full custody of him. Kyree deals with various health issues, including eating disorders, speech difficulties, seizures, asthma, ADHD, and behavioral problems, which stem from his mother's struggle with drug addiction during pregnancy.
He attends The Learning Spectrum in Canal Winchester, where he has made remarkable progress thanks to the dedicated and caring staff and the extensive therapy provided by Children’s Hospital. We are incredibly proud of him!
As his grandparents, we find it challenging at times to keep Kyree and his older brother Levi, who is also autistic and 10 years old, active. Kyree loves being outdoors and enjoys activities like playing in water, coloring, building with Legos, blowing bubbles, and using his tablet. Although he doesn't like riding bikes due to coordination issues and a fear of falling, the joy on his face when Ms. Nancy helped him get fitted for a bike was truly heartwarming. It brought me to tears to see him so happy riding it!
